Francis Collins was Director of the Human Genome Project. He led a team of more than two thousand scientists working together to map the three billion letters of the human genome – our DNA instruction manual. By the end of the venture Collins stated in conclusion, ‘I cannot see how nature could have created itself. Only a supernatural force that is outside time and space could have done that’.
Our lives are filled with countless small details and moments that pass by possibly without our noticing, but all these small details are as much a part of our life story and God’s presence within it as the big significant times that count for much in our memories.
As a new week begins let’s try to notice the way we spend our small moments of time and see what they may have to say about the bigger picture of our life and what God may be saying to us within them.
