Liam Power

Kids' Church Leader

I’m Liam. I oversee the wonderful and vibrant children’s work you see at Redeemer King by coordinating the team and planning the sessions to be full of fun.

I grew up in this community and have lived in Chesterfield all my life, apart from when I studied at university and a brief spell with a theatre company.

An interesting fact about me would be that I got into the final ten to play Billy Elliot in the UK tour of the popular musical stage-show.

When I’m not involved with the Kids’ Church (or preaching) at Redeemer King, I’ve worked with the homeless at the charity, Derby City Mission, since 2019.

I’m autistic not artistic, so you won’t see me personally doing much art with the kids – but that’s one of the many advantages to having a fantastic team to make things happen.

Our children are an important part of the church. They are our future leaders, teachers and world-changers, so I love that my role gives me the opportunity to see young lives flourish.
